About

I’m a keen amateur who enjoys photographing a wide range of subjects - mainly wildlife.
The majority of these can fly but there are some that don't – hence the name of the website “Wings and Things Photography”.

This website gives me an opportunity to share my hobbies and interests.
The majority of my favourite subjects are to be found in the natural world – mammals, birds, butterflies, dragonflies, moths, & invertebrates etc. Many of these subjects can be found all around us – if only we take the time to look.

Another major interest of mine is the aircraft that flew in and around the Second World War period, often referred to these days as the “Warbirds”.

Born, raised and still living in Essex, I worked within a large High Street Bank until the end of 2005, when an extended period of ill health led me to leaving to take an early retirement.
After a couple of years recovering, I felt able to do more and decided to develop an older hobby that had taken a backseat in my life – photography.
